Getting started
Where do you travel?
We serve the Greater Toronto Area and surrounding communities. If you're a little further out, get in touch — group visits (workplaces and residences) can often be arranged beyond our usual area.
What happens during a visit?
Our licensed Optometrist performs a complete eye exam using portable equipment — retinal health assessment, prescription measurement, and ocular pressure check. Then our registered Optician takes your measurements, helps you choose from the frames on hand, and handles fitting and adjustments. Exam to eyewear, in one visit.
How long does it take?
Plan for about 45–60 minutes for an exam plus frame selection. Group visits are scheduled in blocks so each person gets one-on-one time.
Eyewear
I already have a prescription. Can I just buy glasses?
Yes. Bring a current prescription (within two years) and our Optician will fit and dispense from it — no exam required.
How many frames do you bring?
We carry over 230 styles, a curated mix of designer and budget-friendly frames plus sunglasses. If you have a particular brand or look in mind, tell us when you book and we'll make sure it's in the case.
How long until my glasses are ready?
Most orders are ready within 7–10 business days. We return to fit and adjust them in person, or ship them to your door if you prefer.
What if I change my mind about my frames?
Tell us right away — before the lenses are cut, we're happy to help you switch to something you feel confident in.
Cost & coverage
Is the eye exam covered by OHIP?
OHIP covers an annual eye exam for Ontario residents aged 19 and under and 65 and over, and for adults with certain medical conditions (such as diabetes or glaucoma). Everyone else pays a private fee for the exam. See our Insurance & Pricing page for details.
Do you bill my insurance directly?
Yes — we bill most major insurance providers directly for both exams and eyewear, so you only pay any remaining balance.
Is there a travel fee?
No travel fee for visits within the GTA. For workplaces and residences, there is no cost to the organization — we bill each individual's insurance.
Groups
What's the minimum for a workplace or residence visit?
A minimum of 8–10 patients per visit. We'll help you with a sign-up sheet and a short notice to circulate to staff or residents.
Do you offer safety eyewear?
Yes. We supply CSA Z94.3-compliant prescription and non-prescription safety glasses with side shields and high-impact lenses, and can run an on-site clinic for your workforce.
